The story that melted my heart, now makes it ache.
17 year old fan of Eminem, Gage Garmo, was granted his wish to meet and hang with the rapper this past Sunday. Gage suffered from bone cancer and was told he had less than a week to live.
Sadly, Gage succumbed to cancer the very next day.
Rainbow Connection helped make the meeting possible and their spokesperson, Ingrid Todt, told the Detroit Free Press, “Gage sat up with a grin of his face! His family hadn’t seen their son do that in such a long time.”
Eminem’s only request was there be no publicity stunts or press.
Friends and family of the teen held a candlelight vigil at Rochester High School’s football field.
Garmo would have turned 18 on Friday.
