Rivers’ official cause of death has been revealed.
The New York City Medical Examiner’s office said she died of “anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest – a lack of oxygen to her brain during an endoscopy procedure and predictable complication of medical therapy.” Rivers was under the sedation of Propophol during the procedure.
Joan Rivers died at age 81 on September 4th at Mount Sinai Hospital one week after she went into cardiac arrest.
The E!News Network will continue their series “Fashion Police” with executive producer, Melissa Rivers. Reportedly Kathy Griffin will join the team January 2015.
Thanks for the laughs Joan.
