Eclipse, the black Labrador, lives in Belltown, Washington, and has become a very popular pooch because she does something totally AMAZING! She takes the city bus to the dog park whenever she feels like it!
Jeff Young, who owns Eclips, told KOMO News, it all began when they were waiting for the city but, it arrived, but he hadn’t finished his cigarette so his 2 year old pup decided she didn’t want to wait and hopped on the bus alone!
The owner said he figured he’d finish his smoke and then catch up with her later.
“We get separated. She gets on the bus without me, and I catch up with her at the dog park,” he told the station. “It’s not hard to get on. She gets on in front of her house and she gets off at the dog park, three or four stops later. She’s been here the last two years, so she’s been urbanized, totally. She’s a bus-riding, sidewalk-walking dog. Probably once a week I get a phone call. ‘Hi. I have your dog Eclipse here on 3rd and Bell. I have to tell them, ‘No. She’s fine.’ She knows what she’s doing.”
Commuters LOVE Eclipse and a Metro Transit spokesman said they have no problem with her riding the bus.
A Metro Transit spokesman told the agency there is no problem with the dog riding the bus.
I wonder if Eclipse has to purchase a bus pass…
